🎯 Role Overview

We’re hiring a Medior Data Architect to join one of our major enterprise clients in shaping a forward-thinking, scalable, and secure data landscape.

You will play a key role in designing, assessing, and evolving the organization’s data and technology architecture, enabling new business capabilities, futureproofing the data ecosystem, and ensuring smooth alignment across application, infrastructure, and enterprise domains.

This is a hybrid role based in Ghent, working closely with data experts, architects, IT teams, and product stakeholders.

⚙️ Responsibilities

• Analyse the current data architecture to detect gaps and drive continuous improvements
• Coach and collaborate with IT teams, technical specialists, and data experts to design an architecture that supports new business models
• Advise on application and infrastructure projects to ensure systems and data solutions align with enterprise architecture
• Collaborate intensively with product managers, product owners, and other architects (enterprise, business, information, security, solution)
• Monitor applications and data platforms to optimize configurations, ensure data quality, enhance user experience, and proactively address security concerns
• Design and follow up on application and data flow architecture, including UI, middleware, infrastructure, and integrations with central data layers

🧠 Required Skills

• Solid hands-on experience with Data Architecture
• Strong understanding of data lakehouse concepts, data catalogs, and data modelling
• Experience with Data Management, Data Governance, and Information Architecture
• Knowledge of MDM principles
• Agile mindset and way of working
• Ability to translate complex data flows and systems into actionable architectural designs

👤 Profile

• 1–3 years recent experience as a Data Architect (Medior level)
• Analytical, structured, and proactive mindset
• Strong communicator and natural collaborator
• Dutch: Native or bilingual proficiency
• English / French: Nice to have
• Based in Belgium and comfortable with a hybrid schedule in Ghent
